General:
The PVI-6™ is designed for inline optical double-sided inspection of photovoltaic wafers and cells. The PVI-6 solar cell inspection system offers companies that manufacture solar wafers the ability to inspect solar wafers and cells at all stages of the production process with the highest speed and accuracy. With these new features, companies that manufacture solar wafers can significantly increase their yield and classify their products more accurately.
The PVI-6 Solar Cell Inspection System consists of a family of inspection modules designed to inspect solar wafers and cells throughout the manufacturing process, from bare wafer to SiN coating, metallisation and final classification. In addition, the PVI-6 solar cell inspection software provides enhanced usability and analysis tools to increase the overall yield of the solar wafer and cell manufacturing process.
The PVI-6 offers the following benefits to companies manufacturing solar wafers and cells: Higher accuracy and repeatability of measurements with up to four times improvement in measurement accuracy, higher yield and improved cell classification at the end of the production line. Easier calibration and set-up, with calibration time reduced by approximately 80 per cent, enabling faster product ramp-up during initial installation - Tool customisation and centralised module management, providing consistent and easily achievable results in large production environments across multiple production lines.
